hey guys, im planning a camping trip for august 21st through the 23rd (right before i go back to school for the year)

it will involve light/medium 4wheeling and camping.
if some of the group only wanted to 4wheel they could follow up...do a meet up there at the camp site, maybe eat some shmores, then head down and home.

basically, im planning a trip with my friends here in northern colorado for camping and wanted to extend the invitation to my extended family to join us!

im thinking we are gonna go outside of idaho springs or georgetown, as both towns have lots of possibilities for 4wheeling/camping.

mdywer? moncha? mshardeman? VXorado? fuzzy? any other colorado VX'ers?? or nearby ;)

how difficult of 4wheeling you looking for?

are you looking for a specific type of camping spot?

bad *** tickets to Cirque de Solei? Now that is a sentence I never thought I would hear. Maybe CDS tickets and wine and cheese tasting but bad ***?

The only seat closer to that many amazing, flexible people, comes with a two drink minimum and a pole sticking out of the stage.

Are you looking for somewhere in the Denver area?

Here's a Google Earth file of the trip I just did.. Would be a great full day trip like Saturday??? There's no thumbnail for this file, but it is there.

im hoping to go up on friday afternoon and camp friday, saturday, and leave sunday morning...

if anyone wanted to just do a day trip though, i will send them directions to our spot and they can come and go as they please.

ill check out that spot though scott...where was it located?

wow, thats a long way south for us nothern colorado'ers....

thats why i was thinking of comprimising and doing idaho springs (basically denver) area

Jack, it doesn't look like I will be available for the friday and saturday of your trip. I had requested the weekend off at work and everything was dandy until someone was FIRED!!!:madb: Now I have to work since the person fired was the one covering for me. :(

IF you guys are doing anything Sunday other than going home, let me know so I can meet up

ahh bummer... looks like its gonna be just college buddies goin... no other VX'ers as of right now, still waiting to hear back from the boss man.

i have 3 spots picked out. one is kelly flats campground and 4-wheel playground, red feather lakes, and there was one more outside of longmont/boulder area that i cant remember the name of... but if its just my northern buddies then we will stay up north.

scott and mark, let me know asap if your going so we can plan accordingly. thanks

We're going to have to pass. I want to so bad 'cuz I'd much rather spend time with you all but alas, I have to go to a full day of doctors appointments on Friday to track down some chest pains and arrhythmias I've been having, then I have to spend the weekend doing 'rents stuff...

I hope we can at least do a day trip towards the end of September first part of October... We need the VXs all together in the mountains when the colors change!

ya, i do... ive been trying to find my little converter that lets me put the MICROsd out of my phone into my computer to import pics.... as soon as i find it you will get some pics :)

I will make sure I have that weekend off so I don't miss out
