I checked the VX parts list (http://www.vehicross.info/modules.php?name=Downloads&file=viewarticle&id=15) and the VX Shop Manual / VX manual CD (http://www.vehicross.info/modules.php?name=Downloads&file=viewcategory&cid=3)

and just want to confirm from those especially that have lifted, is there a difference between the rear shocks (Left vs Right)?

Ryan, I think the one off the left side looks dirtier than the one off the right...

I'm with Ryan, I've bought several used sets over the years, & I've never seen any difference.

What I have noticed, is that if any in the set have failed, it's always been one of the fronts.

hm strange.. my rears were much worse than my fronts... but i have hauled a lot of stuff through the rough streets of philly... including about 800 lbs of canned food and close to 700 lbs of stone (not at the same time)

Did you all see the NIB OEM ones for sale on Ebay? I assume that is why boss man started this thread?

Well BOSS...So much for getting a great deal on some OEM VX Shocks. Now we all know.. Let's all make a pack and NOT BID..it's the least we can do for all Scott's done...

NP, please if you want to bid, DO! The listing is only one and I was just curious as the guy listed the rear as a right rear and I brought the question into my head..

So much for capitalism...if it was me selling the shocks, I would be P.O.ed right now...

When the time comes,I'm going to buy some Rancho's or something and send mine to get re-built. Little Beast got his re-built for $500 for all four!:yeso:

What is the deal 1 shock? How do you happen to have 1 shock for sale? Did it fall off a truck?

That is what I did, got the Rancho 9000xls, although they are not as stiff as I would have liked, having the ability to turn them down to 3 or 4 when wheeling is a lifesaver. Those rocks are not so bad when the shocks are "squishier" so not so much bouncin.

Not even...it's been my experience in many aspects of life, that the dirtier one usually has the greater SUCCESS!...:naughty:

I wonder if anyone ever bought a new set of four VX shocks from Isuzu? At those prices, there must be a ton of 'em collecting dust in the Isuzu parts warehouse. :rolleyesg

Maybe they figure if they charge that much no one will order them and they do not have to stock them

Well, there is just about 15 minutes left on the eBay site for bidding. Things should get really interesting in the last few seconds in the bidding war.:yeso:

Wow, $610 for the pair (1-front + 1-rear) was the final tally.

I'd like to get in line to by someone's factory worn out ones...

My VX came with Ranchos that were gone, and I only had 47,000 miles... so that means there are some stock ones kicking around that have very low miles. The Adjustable Ranchos I had suuuuucked... when I removed them they wouldn't even extend on their own.

I replaced with Bilsteins, I like them, but I'd love some factory KYBs... even if I did have to have them rebuilt.

I sold my rear OEM shocks to biju. I don't know if he sold them when he got rid of the VX. Wouldn't hurt to contact him tho.

True. My diff brackets are on an Astral. My hood insert will be on a Dragon (if I ever get off my arse & fix it).

Goes so fast that light can't catch up to it???
