Headline News!
PSUDOM3 changes his name to BoarderCross!
OK I FINALLY DID IT!
Now that I'm bona fide... I need to lobby the overseer(Moncha) for a new handle and abandon my old addiction to the BMW world.
Got a sweet bone stock 2000 Ebony Garage Queen sitting my own damn garage! Been fartin around with a dealer in the Bay Area for the last few days trying to get the deal done. Had to jump thru a bunch of hoops but in the end was worth the investment. Got the lower mileage Ebony... of course. One of the best pieces of advice I've got from this group.... get the best vehicle you can afford. I did, I'm sure I paid too much but could care less at this point. Its in my garage!
Spent the 2 hour drive home feelin like the Indy Car driver making the last white flag lap, hearing every noise as if the rig's about to blow a cylinder... and still loved every minute of it. Counted at least half a dozen guys breakin' necks straining to see it...
Its in my garage! Sorry, gotta go... spend some time in the garage with BEER!
Pics tomorrow...
Thanks for all the help... Sorry ZEUS and VXKeith. This one had my name on it.
Too excited to sit here and type anymore...
That's the best...
Congrats on the new ride..., I hope you have many a happy mile together.
And thanks for the vivid reminder of that "OMG!, I actually own one..." feeling.

Have fun!

There are only two(2) types of people in the world:
A: Those that already have a VX.
B: Those that wish they had a VX.

Don't forget to run down to the local supermarket to check out your reflection in the windows as you drive by.

I have that feeling every time I get in mine!:bwgy::drool2::naughty::_steering::dan_ban:
Awesome Jeff! Hope all goes well with it. Luckily, you know where to go if it doesn't! You can also do a search here of the vin to figure out if a member here owned it... right guys? I don't know how to do it but I think it can be done...

My Jeep now has its new 3.5" lift, new rims and new mudders !!!!!!
Looking good.:bgwb:
Kevin, I'll have to PM you about that Jeep so as not to threadjack too much. If there is anything we shouldn't do, it's discuss Jeep mods around this group of haters... :)

Nice pics!!! Welcome to the addiction. In picture #5 of 6, the image seems to actually "shake" as if the VX is running at idle. Kinda' spooky.;eeko;

its just that there are so many of them. I bought one of my cars for the rarity then I bought the VX to have a more common car. Given those stats you can see what I think of a car as common as a jeep

I love jeeps myself. I don't have to worry about driving nicely or anything 'cuz I know there are parts readily available. I would like to have a 4 door Rubi so I can tear it up!

"If there is anything we shouldn't do, it's discuss Jeep mods around this group of haters..."
Nuthin wrong with a jeep ... with 38's. Maybe someday but right now I've got too many other projects.
That is VERY nice, Jeff! Good choice!
Is that like discussing the FJ around you?:bgwb:HAHA! Pretty much, prob'ly right... excuse me, I think I just threw up in my mouth a little... :bgwo:

there are bennies to both. The aftermarket for Jeeps is staggering as well as spare parts in rural locations. The VX tho... well you know.

I hear ya with the projects... everything I own needs a little something... or more. Nobody is buying anything tho so I gotz no money for any of it! 'Jack off... Scott taught me! :p

Don't tell Ms Moncha:)
Ya - 37s will do. Really what I like about a Jeep is driving around topless & no doors.

Looks like you found a really nice one BoarderCross.
It's those kinds of pics that make me consider re-installing the "VehiCross" pillar badges. But then again, if I did that, I wouldn't get stopped so many times in parking lots by questions that give me the chance to brag one more time about actually being an owner.
So what were it's stats when it was born into your driveway (mileage, mods, etc)?
BoarderCROSS2000
08/27/2009, 02:39 PM
2 Owners - last one kept it for 6 years. It spent its whole life in AZ. No mods, completely bone stock! Not a single upgrade - still has the cd player and head unit.
Oh wait it does have the spare tire cover knob delete times 1 - must be for saving weight. :p
Let the upgrades begin. First up, tires... decisions decisions.

Hey Dude....time to change your stats, you don't want your VX to see that your profile still says "N/A"...:smilewink

A: Those that already have a VX.
B: Those that wish they had a VX.
C: Those that sold their VX.
Group C falls back into Group B. We're here to console those who pass from A to B, and assist in their return to A status again.
Me, a "B"... no way!!

HAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHA!!!!!! I drive 5 miles just to one specific shopping center cause its about 4 blocks long and solid glass!!!!!!!! I can see the people inside stare as I drive by, and then their phones come out after the third and fourth pass. Figure that is the limit, next pass the 5.0 will be coming to get me. :bgwb:
