A bit of overkill, i think this is cheeting, it has a bait drop etc and you can place your line anywhere with it, also has a depth sounder lol

Hey Rocket, that is a beautiful place. I can see why you would like to get out of London to go there. Man that looks relaxing. Claire's got to be around there somewhere...the VX looks too clean. Thanks for sharing that. I would love one of those remote fishing rigs, would make a good gator lure around here. I just don't know how you would get him to bring it back after he swallowed it.
Oh, and I agree with Kat, do they have any grey poupon? (wonder if they had those commercials over there?)

Im definately confused by the Grey Poupon lol !!!!
Yeah, thats my Dads Uncles farm, well i say farm but they have been screwed over like every other farm for the last 10 years and no longer farm anything, why make a loss when the goverment offer them money to not produce anything but look after the fields etc!!! The last of the dairy cows went a couple of years back. It is a manor house and no idea where the money for it came from / went as theres none left lol !!! but its got a nice lake to go to for carp fishing.
Unfortunately the day was dry so i dodnt have to tow the rangie but that would have been priceles :)

Is a fancy mustard brand here in the states. They have a series of commercials where one rich person will ask another for grey Poupon. It might be two guys in Rolls Royces or yachts but you get the idea.

 Yeah, believe me, I couldn't believe the size of it either. Carp might not taste good, but they are a challenge to fish for.

Yeah, it's funny how carp can inhabit such shallow water. The lake and surrounding canals where I caught that big one up there is only like knee deep. Carp are weird.

lol, bloody show off!! I remember driving a boat through one of the great lakes (30,000 islands rings a bell???) and going up what can only be sdescribed as a really shallow stream nbetween two islands and there were carp everywhere and i mean 3 - 4 feet long. You could have picked them all up with the landing net!!!!!

Yeah, that is how it is at the lake where I caught that big carp. In certain spots you can actually see their dorsal fins sticking out above the water. Crazy. The funny thing is, I have no idea when they like to eat. I mean, I've dangled bait right in front of their mouths and they don't bite. Other times, they are like frenzied. I have only ever been able to catch carp on live earthworms. I've tried chicken livers (great for catfish however) and dough-balls with zero success.

I do have a recipe for carp. If I remember correctly, you lay your carp on a 2x4 board just slightly longer than the carp, scale the carp, then season it with your favorite seafood spices. Take another 2x4 board place it on top of the carp and nail the 2 boards together. Place the board on an oven rack (preheated to 350 degrees) and cook for one hour. take it out of the oven, throw away the carp and eat the 2x4's . Gone Fishing.
Don't Russians consider crap, I mean, carp a delicacy or something like that?

I know that when the World Fair was in Knoxville in '82, it was set up right on the river. When it shut down at night, the entire staff from the exhibit from China would be down at the river catchin carp. Rekin it's a delicacy there.
