After a ton of training my big race of the season is now only 3 days away. I have pretty much spent 2 years of training with this race as the focus. I am loading my VX with all my gear and hitting the road to Tempe, Az. for Ironman Arizona. As a bonus I get to spend a few days with Victor (VCamilo...thanks again for the hospitality).
Anyone interested in tracking my progress can do so at Ironman Live (http://ironman.com/)...my race number is 1610.
My goal is a 9:50 and a magical slot for the Ironman World Championships in Kona, Hawaii!:bwgy:

Good luck from me & Cece! Hope you do well and get to advance to Hawaii. Most of all have fun! Don't party with Victor until after the race! I have never done a Triathalon, but I am sure it's harder when you are hung over... :yesy:

I am sitting on Victors couch (stealing his internet server) after just getting back from the athlete carbo dinner. It was whipped up by chef Rocko and will be on his show some time in January:yesy: Tomorrow the bike and gear get corraled into the transition area then its a full day of feet up resting! Sunday starts out EARLY! 4 o'clock alarm, breakfast and then off to the transition area to check the air in the tires. After that just relax and get into my wetsuit. Then they will heard everyone down to the swim start for the 7 o'clock start. When the cannon goes off its full contact swimming at its finest with 2500 of my newest friends!:bwgy:
Thanks everyone for the good vibes!

I don't even know what track town is!?!?
Well I had a great race but didn't quite get the time I was shooting for. It was still a personal best by 30 minutes but I was hoping for a 1 hour pb. I had an average swim (1:07:07 for 2.4 miles), and then rocked the bike (5:03:23 for 112 miles), and then had a below expectations run (3:58:09 for the marathon), throw in a 4minute 1st transition and 1 minute 43 second transition and I finished in 10:14:21...199th overall (out of 2500+) and 14th in my agegroup. There is 6or7 slots for Hawaii so now I need to hope some one doesn't want there slot and then it passes down through the others ahead of me.

I'd say you did one helluv a job Billy. Who knows maybe Hawaii comes to ya. I'm highly impressed 199 out of 2500 is very good. I think I may try Vegas...would have to start workin out my right arm to pull those slot handles..OOPS I mean exercising my index finger to push the buttons.

Hearding me and 2500 of my newest friends into the water for the in-water start...the water was a nippy 64 degrees!
