Here's a great ARTICLE (http://www.planetisuzoo.com/articles.htm/99) from the PlanetIsuzoo page on upgrading the troublesome Hitachi alternator to a more reliable and inexpensive (no to mention available!) GM unit. The details are for the 3.2 Trooper but applies to the VX with some common-sense adjustments. Something to print and save considering our near 50% alternator failure rate at the muddy Ocala meet!
