HI all, i need to take the beast to the mech today. i have a TOD check light and its annoying me with its blinking....:D
As far as i am aware no one has a tech 2 scan tool here in Australia (or anyone that i can find) i need to be able to tell the guy what other vehicals have a similar set up TOD system. And we are hoping that he can sumize what the problem is.
The light has a steady pluse that has a longer pulse every so often. i know very vague :D

Mark, thank you for that link, i had already printed that information and have it in the pile to take to the mech. :bwgy:
I was hoping that i can tell him that X make has a similar set up so that he has a bench mark to work from.
I am taking the car to another mech, a 4wd specialist. My last service from my regular mechanic has left a foul taste in my mouth. i had all the fluids changed in the car, front wheel bearings re pack etc. i checked the work when i got home and the freaking apprentice did not tighten up the sump plugs etc and now my whole undercarriage is cake in oil. i am far from happy. and the eng oil was at a dangerours level due to the leaking....
i am thinking that maybe a sensor or something has gotten coated and thus has either failed or just needs to be cleaned.
I have been going to my mechanic for 8 years now and the service has been slowly going down hill…..its a shame….
cheers

Don't late model Holden Jackaroos have the TOD system as well? Like a 2001 Trooper here?

Sounds like your mech should have squared away those loose parts and then sprung for a good steam cleaning of the soiled area.
As far as the T-Case. The late model Troopers had TOD also.

its a borg warner TOD system, Ford Explorers and Kia Sorentos both use it, tough they most likely have some differences.
