Anyone have any experience with Jensen?
I'm asking because the RV came with Jensen VR187 & the display quit working. They won't do anything about it under waranty (said it should be covered under Coachman warranty). It appears that this unit was made special for Coachman & there are no direct replacements. According to Crutchfield, it's not even a standard mount (1.8 DIN). The video connectors are custom as well.
The good news is that a remanufactured unit will ONLY cost me $350.

I work at an RV dealership, any double din stereo should be able to fit with very minor cutting. you will just have to remove the casing and use the new sleeve from the new stereo.

Dude, you have no idea of the can of worms you just opened. As a Noob to RV'n, I'll be PMing you on a regular basis.
Just kidding but GTK there is a brain out there I can pick if need be.:)

sorry tom, im gonna have to be BRUTALLY honest here.........
;puke2;
i think i may rather have NO radio at all than a jensen... they are one of the worst radio companies there is...besides the 'dual' stuff from walmart.
seriously you would be better off with an ipod and some computer speakers than that thing... go buy a well name brand. you will be happy in the longrun.
ill put it to you the same way i put it to my customers. would you rather buy a jensen now for $100 and another one for $100 in a year, and another $100 in 2 years, etc. or just spend $150 and buy it once and not have to deal with replacing it all the time?

No prob PB.
I've been hearing the same thing everywhere. Their customer service is pretty much nonexistent as well.
The only problem tho is that the three camera feature (with auto switching) will be lost with anything else

i know some of the eclipse head units will support 3 cameras, take a look at them, may not autoswitch, but at least you can see whats around you!

etl's right. check out eclipse, they make a great product.
they are produced by Fujitsu-Ten which is the same company that makes toyota.
however, FYI, they just went outta business so if your gonna get one of those you need to look into it soon.
and yes, eclipse is an amazing brand. they battle with alpine for being the best.

Wasn't Jensen primo back in the 70's. Guess it went down the toilet when bought out by ASA Electronics.
I know ... etlsport & pbkid weren't even a gleam in Daddy's eye in the 70's so you wouldn't know.:)
