Does anybody know what is the largest size 16" tire will fit without rubbing? I have BFG AT's size 255-70-16 right now and was thinking about going with the Yokohama AVS S/T performance tire. They only make that tire in 245-70-16 or 265-70-16, and i was hoping to fit the 265-70 on there. Has anyone used these tires? I really like the way my BFG's have a stiff wall; they really have improved the handling of the truck. I was hoping the Yoko's did the same

Its not so much the wheel size as it is the wheel offset and the tire size. I have the 285/60 Yoko AVS's on 18x8.5" wheels and had to trim. I dont necessarily see trimming as a bad thing though since the payoff is the good looks of the wheels and tires.

I am using 265/70-16 A/T Revos on stock rims with no trouble.

If you have to trim to make your tires fit, what do you trim? and how much skill is needed? I ordered the 265-70-16 yokohama AVS S/T's today. And was thinking of trying to change the order to the 285-70-16's if I could make them fit without too much trouble

the 265-70-16 will fit fine, the 285-70-16 might push it but is probably possible. I was able to fit 265-75-16 with just turning the torsion bars. Very easy. Try this site:
