View Full Version : Oil Drain Plug Help

I am about to do my 1st oil change by myself instead of taking it in and I am not sure which one is the oil drain plug. just passed the filer is a thin rectangular box (with a drain plug) and firther passed that closer towards the middle of the enginer is a larger square box with a drain plug. Please help on which one is the oil drain plug.

when you change the oil out.......replace the oil plug with a Fram oil plug part number is SD-2 and is like $10.
It is an oil plug that stays in when you change oil. It has a protective cap that you remove andthen screw on a hose with a piece of metal sticking out that spreads a rubber gromet inside the plug....then the oil drains where you aim the nozzel..
way less messy than doing it the normal way
