So am looking to get one of these and I ran across one that according to AutoCheck was in a FEMA storm area. It still has a 75 on AC, and shows no water damage according to them, there has been 50K miles on it since the FEMA thing. Also has new engine in it, haven't checked yet to see when that was put in. What opions do other people have on this. Thanks.

Hit or miss, Whats the price? have you seen any pictures?
Go look at it if its not a big hassle and a good price. I would check everywhere for any type of water damage or excessive rust. Also if its a salvage title, it probably was flooded and not worth your time.
Good luck, welcome to the VX family!

He was suppose to have sold it before I made my mind up dam** it, haha.

It looks like a beauty.
I guess it's ok to post the ad now. Didn't wanna post it before and have someone buy it out from under you. And it comes with a roof rack!!!
How ironic is it that the guy is Craig and he posted it on Craig's List? :bwgy:

Congrats and welcome to the club. You'll be going right by me on the way back so stop to say hi and show off your new ride if you've got time.
Here's a tip: I noticed in the CL ad your seller says "I have aftermarket Goodyear MTR offroad tires on it, although one of them is different". Not sure what he meant by "different" but make sure the "different" tire is on the front before you head off on that 1,000 mile journey.

thanks for the tip on tire, according to mapquest and the way they had it the first time and if detoured to W-S, only 5 mile/10min. different, will be there sometime on fri/26th during the day, maybe meet somewhere for lunch, PM your number and see when it gets closer.
