looks good, although 5 quid on a bit on linseed oil for the cladding might actually mean he sells it!!!

Is that red one of the limited editions??

I've know about this UK red for over a year when the owner tried to sell for 5200 on Ebay but obviously didn't find a buyer. It has just been re-listed as it didn't make the reserve last week. I've sent the current owner an email asking that he pass the forum's web site address to the next owner. Would you believe that although he's owned the red VX for 18 months he didn't know about our site - some people !). The current owner seems have looked after it and hasn't put many miles on the clock (one reason he's selling it apparently - not using it enough)

PS no, sorry, this Red VX isn't a limited edition (there a couple similar reds I know of in the UK including that Scottish one with all the stickers, remember? Whatever happen to that one?) - you can also tell because it hasn't leather recaros.

what's that little square thing with red & green lights to the right of key? An LP gas gauge?

Not having a badge on the console doesn't necessarily mean that it isn't a 175 (although I agreed in this case it isn't a 175) because the badge was/is actually a key fob that came with the 175, and most owners stuck them onto the centre console (or somewhere in the cabin).

Looks like it's been listed again, and this time for significantly less than the original 5200 listed earlier in this thread...

Liquid Plutonium Gizmo???? How come my VX didn't come with this option? Changing out the Plutonium every couple of decades sounds much better than 15 mpg!!! :bgwb:

When I first looked at those small pics I thought he had painted the cladding, then realized it was just highly faded all to hell!:(

+1 - Probably the worst I have ever seen in a for sale ad on any site. Hurts to see that much neglect. :(

I would agree and I've seen this one in the flesh - driven it in fact, when I was looking for mine. It was in a sadder state then. Nick from Lythan St Ann used it as a farmyard / horsebox hack. It was muddy (inside and out), and he had, at the time, very little spare cash or time (that's why he was selling it at time as he was rebuilding his farm house) - the lpg system was failing and needed a overhaul. (but that was nearly a couple of years ago so the current owner may have given it some TLC (one would hope)
