I haven't tried it, but it seems interesting. I just couldn't get passed the first sentence of the description though.

I've contemplated a twin fan setup that pulls, not pushes the air through the rad. and to get rid of the mechanical fan. I don't see the measurements in the description for these either...

Spelling ain't exactly what I'd call their "strong suit"...:rolleyesg

Clikc on "back" to see their home page.

If they offered a kit for an Isuzu, it looks like the shipping would be free.

And a kit for a Jeep Wrangler is $200.OO

Looks to me like the ebay seller is just paying for an ebay ad, pocketing the profit, & having FFD do all the work.

$ave your$elf $ome jing, & get ahold of FFD directly...:yesgray:

Sounds like there are some pro/cons:

+ some HP (maybe 10-20 HP)
+ MPG (since the engine is driving the fan)
= cooling
-expensive
-don't fix what ain't broken

I'm curious about this because last year I had overheating problems on the trails. I replaced my fan clutch and the problem was fixed but the new clutch was insanely loud (torqflo), later I replaced it with a new quietier clutch (hayden). I'm convinced that the VX cooling system can be better but i'm not sure the electric fan system is the fix.

I have mixed feelings on this conversion because I would hate to spend the money and time on this conversion and end up with new problems or no benefits.

I did an electric fan conversion, but the fan was from a 94 plymouth voyager, custom mounts, everyday wiring harness and relay. I can't say if it is any quieter, or gave me more HP, but it does run a bit cooler. I said a bit.

So, was thinking this might be that much better is all. Thanks for all the input though. Still not sure if I will do this.

I ran some dual fans off an early 90's ford thunderbird in my 98' GMC and they cooled GREAT! They didn't even cover the whole radio (my radiator was huge) but even pulling a huge trailer through the mountains at 90+ degrees moving into california, temp never went about 210 with one fan on and with both hovered right at 185-190 or so (had laptop hooked up to keep track when I hit those hills). I'm thinking of doing this to my VX as well
