Gotta try everything at least once if given the opportunity. Where is that? I know Chile has some giant dunes like that.

Hell yeah I'd do it - if the terrain was stable. Just put it in neutral and let it roll. Don't touch the brakes until you're at the bottom. That place looks like a landslide waiting to happen though. I think I'd be more nervous driving across that ledge than actually rolling down the slope...
Do you know how far down it is? And what's the vehicle? I bet it's got a longer wheelbase than a VX!!!

I believe the steepness is exagerated...
...the pic iappears to be framed/rotated approx 20 degrees clockwise.

Clearly. Judging from the approach at the top of the dune compared to the chopper. No doubt.
And no. Won't do it. My VX hates getting dirty. :p

I think this is the Dakar rally in South America right? Somebody (Triathlete maybe?) was following the race pretty closely and might know...
I think that pic was in the Dakar Rally thread, it looks familiar.
Here it is, click the link, it's #12 I think..http://www.vehicross.info/forums/showpost.php?p=182844&postcount=1

From boston.com for that photo-

Yep, that was this years dakar in South America (Chile/Argentina) and no that pic is not tilted. They showed it in the coverage...it was HUGE and STEEP and the cars hauled A double S down it. It was insane. Would I do it....you bet. If those big support trucks can do it a nimble little VX would have no problem!

Yeah, the angle is definitely off. Sand running is fun as hell.
