How about a fun little thread where where we share our new OT "toys" with fellow forum cultists. Always pretty fun to see what people do with their funds and what they interests are. Bet this kinda thing gets REALLY interesting after tax returns.
This past week, I received my bonus from last year and with small chunk of it, I took delivery on my new weekend plinker.

Have yet to have plink any rounds off with it yet, only got around to giving it it's first good cleaning. Really looking forward to firing some rounds down range with it though. Currently looking for a new forearm and optics for it.

I planned my family vacation to the beach (FL panhandle area) in June. I'll post some pics of me in my speedo after the trip takes place. :p

Got a nice bonus this year so we're finally paying off some credit card debt that we incurred paying for our daughter's ICU stay, start-up costs from moving into a house, and getting screwed on selling my wife's car (she was an E-3 at the time she bought it, and the O-4 who sold it to her neglected to mention the frame damage that didn't show up on the CarFax report, so we lost $6500 on trade-in - I swear to God I'll beat his *** if I ever see him again).
Hoping to pick up a new set of tires and rims in the next month or so... can't wait to post pics!

My refund is my yearly race trip/vacation funding. First part of it will pay for my trip to Coronado this weekend for Superfrog (http://www.superfrogtriathlon.com/index.html) and then a trip to Vegas in November for Silverman (http://www.silvermannv.com/)....
....and hopefully enough to get me to Moab!:bwgy:

Even so still taking my family on a Summer cruise...my wife is graduating with her Masters in Education and it's our 30th anniversary.
Really blessed to have them...:bgwo::bgwb::bwgy::smilewink

I hear that investment fund has a really great rate of return! Return on investment is pure fun!!!
I can't decide if I should pay off my VX with my tax return or if I should buy goodies. I have too many projects and vehicles to know what to do...

Well assuming you're going to do both no matter what, better to buy goodies in cash and keep a (hopefully) low interest auto loan, vice credit card-ing goodies at a much higher rate.
Just my $.02. :)

I have one of these you can have for the cost of shipping if you want. The project I got it for went another direction and I couldn't use it. It's been collecting dust ever since.

Get a little pre Moab ink with the munny uncle has been keepin' for me INTREST FREE...:upsetgray
I mean, SERIOUSLY...why use valuable Moab party time sittn' in the local tat parlor, when you can get it done before the reunion...:yesgray:
I'm tryin' to talk my ink guy into coming to Moab with his rig (both ink & off road) in the next year or two (not this year) for anyone interested...:naughty:

I've had an ink guy in the arsenal years before I got any, he was one of my co workers in the cabinet shop.
I felt kinda bad coming back to FGO with ink that wasn't his last year, but he understood the peer pressure involved, & consented to give me my second inking...:smilewink...

I love tats, but I can't get one. Being an artist, I get tired of looking at the same work over and over. I would get something I loved, and a week later, I would be tired of it. Considered getting one of my back, that would be tough to see, so I wouldn't be able to see it enough to get tired of it.
Had something like this in mind for a couple years now....
http://www.philholtsf.com/blog/tattoos/biomech-spine-tattoo.jpg
.... but still unsure.
On another note, a few more tax and bonus toys arrived.
Track/summer tires for the STi - Dunlop Direzzas
BlackTop Aero spoiler replacement for my STi
Swift springs for the STi
A crap-ton of Magpul gear for my AR and shooting fun. ;)
1000 rds of ammo for the AR
And sadly, nothing for the VX, since she is going to be in the shop soon. She gets repairs, not fun toys. :(

Wifey told me that if I touched the tax return this year that I'd be pullin back a stump.
I later found out that she used it to get us a trip to England/Ireland/Scotland for my birthday.
But ...
I get to tell her that if she touches the 10 tax return, she'll be pullin back a stump. I'll get her a trip to Moab 11 for her birthday next year:)

I was wanting to do lift and tires for my VX but ended up getting a new king bed, 42" plasma for the bedroom, and one of the Splinter Cell Xbox 360's for the living room and put the other one on the plasma in the bedroom. Oh yeah, and a new GPS.

Got ya beat. The range I usually go to is literally 3 miles from my house. Only 1 stop sign away. I can hear the best of the badda-booms from my deck. ;)
http://www.cresaprifleclub.com/
It's a little backwoods'ish and dumpy, but ANY range in MD is a good enough one for me.... this damned paranoid state.
The better, longer down-range ranges I have to travel a bit.
Dubs, you laugh, but there was a dude 2 weeks ago at the range that showed up with something very similar. He scared the living hell out of me and I do not think he was very mentally stable. Imagine a creepy heavy set dude in his 50's, with long hair in a ponytail sticking out of a DC Comics ballcap, a bunch of comic pins decorating his jean jacket, and SWAT style Magnum boot w/ recon blue military cargo pants tucked in them. He had NEVER fired the gun but spent the last year building it. Also said he hasn't fired a gun in almost 20 years. I fear he is gearing up for something.... like a raid on the comic store to acquire Spiderman #1. :bgwo:
I got ya all beat - in my neighborhood we just walk outside and start shooting! :bgwo:

Possibly the only gun in the world without an RIS-because it's so cool, it doesn't need one:
