Took a trip to Coronado Island, Ca. this weekend for my first big race of the 2010 season. Would have had VX pics but no one else showed to meet up:(

Was a bit slower this year than last, but a good race none the less. The swim was warmer this year (60 vs. last years 53 degrees), the waves a bit smaller but there was a current from hell that slowed most down by a few minutes. The bike went great. The wind was kicking hard but I passed a ton of people coming off the bike first in my agegroup. The wind had its revenge in the end though. The extra toll it took on my legs on the bike came back to bite me on the run. I was 10 minutes slower than last year but hung on for 5th in my agegroup. The legs just didn't want to cooperate on the run...and the sand didn't help. Still had a great time!

Billy, I have the utmost respect for guys that can even finish those sort of events, let alone almost win their division. It's obvious that it takes loads of training and dedication. You are a machine!

This weekend I drove to Taco Bell four times and watched twelve movies. I was so exhausted after seeing the words "1.2 mile swim" that I had to take a nap before finishing this message.
YOU... DA... MAN!
Having finished watching the Ironman Triathlon in Kona several times while I lived there, I can honestly say that I have no idea how anyone could think doing this is a good idea...:_confused...
But I do have a great admiration for tenacity, so here's to you my friend....
Isuzu's slogan, "going further" definitely applies to you!
