CHECK ENGINE... wheres's the plug?

CHECK ENGINE - Popped up on the dash for 2 hours recently, turned itself off for no good reason... want to get it checked out but... Does the system hold a record of the past faults?

It's supposed to.

Scan guage checks for pending codes as well as active codes. Some faults only throw a CEL if they've occured a certain number of times - that's what the pending codes represent.

Not sure about the JDM models location, but the NA version that we drive (L side steering wheel) has the OBD II port located under the dash, in front of the drivers L knee.

IIRC basicly the opposite to the LHD vxs to check next to your rightknee! :)
