I don't know what it is, but there are 3 different radar sites on my way to work (the stand up ones that have the speed limit sign on them and show you your speed as you pass), all of them have one on each side of the road but NONE of them ever get my speed, is the design of the cladding and shape REALLY designed to "fly" under the radar, lol It's weird, I can see every vehicle up ahead of me get picked up but when I go by (even if I am the only one and have plenty of distance from the front vehicle), I get nothing. Not really upset about it lol, just thought it was weird

This is a dream come true! They just had one of those things on my dirt road about 2-3 weeks ago, (on a privately owned road, with no speed limit...go figure:confused:) but I didn't take the VX down...dang, I gotta try that!

haha ya I wonder if it will work for you, if not we may be on to something here lol

Ok, now THAT'S weird! I was going to Grand Rapids last week, and there on Highway 2, was a radar-speed-sign. It posted the speed of the car a hundred-or-so yards ahead of me, when I came up to it, nothing, notta, zip! I thought that maybe it just hadn't reset or something, now ya got me wondering...NO WAY!!

Don't want to burst your bubble here boys and girls, but it picks mine up ok.

Of course our machines don't have to do the conversion from right to left. LOL.

lol, maybe it was a special RPO code, radar blocking primer haha

Hmmm, this is a very interesting thread indeed. We have a few of those radar speed limit signs here as well (normally near "School Zones"). I've always been in with other traffic around me and never isolated, so I can't make a firm determination yet. Still; this radar observaton warrants further analysis, so perhaps we can have various members of the Vehicross.Info flock report their findings on this thead with their experiences.:yeso:

course I work at NASA and maybe we have the radar that works on stealth material they are trying out, lol

i know for sure radar guns work on my vx :cryb: not sure about the roadside signs though

We have a few of those radar speed limit signs here as well (normally near "School Zones").

When I test drove one, I went thru a school zone. It registered the correct speed. I believe color would have more effect on whether a vehicle registers or not. (Darker colors have been reported to be more stealthy.)

Plus, Police radar is designed to pick up/register the fastest car, maybe the stationary road-side units work similarly.

I've also heard vertical surfaces can play a part. Vette's for example tend to hide under the radar if shot from the front. Not a lot of surface to bounce back from. A VX has plenty of height/vertical surface. I'd be surprised if it didn't register -- especially if you're the faster vehicle.

I was the ONLY vehicle, the vehicles ahead were a good bit ahead and no one behind me every time. I'm sure it's not actually immune to radar just thought it was interesting lol, I've been wanting to test my gps/speedo to one and they don't work, aarrgghh!

It takes time to reset or of course sometimes stuff breaks

Ya but 3 different (well 6 total) ones that picked up rows of cars ahead of me? It'd pick up 4 or 5 cars that went by until me lol.
