View Full Version : Question about non-existing clock

Does anyone know if a digital clock from a Rodeo or Trooper would fit into our dash?
I would prefer to find something to fill in the little pocket to the left of the steering wheel. But if you know of a clock that fits in the 2 button slots to the right, that could work too.
Thanks in advance to anyone who responds...

That would be a great addition. Rowhard put a good looking clock there, check out this thread, post #10:

BTW, don't know where it started, but we affectionately call that the "fuzzy hole"..due to the black fuzzy surface there. A lot of folks have put the 3 button unit from a Rodeo in that spot, it's the same shape hole they have, so it fits perfectly. Some designate a button for their hatch popper, aux lights, etc...
In the same thread above, post #14, you'll see a pic where you can see the 3 button mod to the fuzzy hole.
Post #28 shows a variety of mods for that area....

You could get one of those digital clocks with the double-sided tape and put it over the hole, it'd work. Or go a little further to make it look better like Kat showed

oh no.... I don't want to just stick something over the hole. That would just look like an after-thought...
Now that I have the idea in my head, I'll eventually find the right thing...

Well yeah, but to some it's an option, especially the low-profile clocks. Just throwing it out there, I have a clock on my radio, I'm good with that lol. If I were to go to the effort to add a clock I would mold it into the dash

I'm guessing you may have already added that clock, but if not jcwhitney has a digital attitude guage with pitch and roll, compass, and clock.

What's wrong with the clock in the radio? What you mean you don't have the stock radio....

Stock radio is gone... display can show either clock or station you're on, but not both. I like it when a vehicle has a seperate clock.
Now, I'm thinking about installing an overhead console from a Subaru Forester... it has a clock, better lighting, and sunglass holder.

A console from the S-10 Blazer looks great and has more compartments. A few of the members have done them with great results.

I've read through many threads.... YES, I do know how to use search ;)
Also, looked at S-10 consoles on Ebay. Every listing mentions temp & direction, but I haven't come across one that that says anything about time.
**In the Phoenix area, all the streets run in a grid pattern... if I don't know what direction I'm traveling in, I've got issues.
**In the Phoenix area, I already know what the temperature is.... HOT!
Can someone tell me what time it is?...........LOL :)

404 error. I'm guessing something goes in the "..." part of your link.

Just for clarification for anyone looking for these pics in the gallery, there's another member named "Maverick" - no "vt_" in front.
