looks like one of my front swaybar links is on its way out. just curious if anyone has replaced theirs and what you have replaced them with?

I found some stuff about quick disconnect swaybar links, not sure i need them, especially if they arent as stiff as factory ones. does anyone actually have them?

just looking online i havent seen any listed for the VX, but I know at work I have a Moog part number for replacements, gonna see if I can find an Energy Suspension version.

Here are some photos from my gallery that have some shots of the Swordy Sway Bar Disconnects. They are so simple looking I almost feel like it would be easiest just to make your own or have them made. The red shaft is a hollow pipe with holes drilled in it for the removable pins that hold everything together when you want sway bars in tact.

just replaced both of my swaybar links.. wow, what a difference!! The one on the drivers side had started to make a little noise, but I didnt really notice a difference in handling... until i replaced them and WOW much tighter. with lots of VXs hitting 100k, a lot of them could probably stand to be replaced. pretty easy job too, i didnt even take my wheels off (but would be easier if you did..)

all you need is..

14mm crescent wrench and a 14 mm socket/ratchet.
penetrating oil helps too
i needed a helper to hold one side of the link in place while i loosened the nut, but probably not even necessary if you take your wheels off

i got the set for $57 bucks from my local napa
