That'll keep the bears at bay for a bit at least

Well at least you'll have time to say goodbye and pray before they get there...:bwgy::smilewink:bgwo::bgwb:

Bart slept on the rack on top of his trooper, while not exactly the same, that rack is huge and the VX and Trooper share a common bloodline construction wise.

Empty, they are listed at "(2-man) 110 lbs. (3-man) 130 lbs." My bars say "Max Load 110lbs". So, the 2-man tent is within spec, but the 3-man isn't.

Note that's empty, though. Add two 120lbs humans, and things get a little sketchier. In theory, the roof can hold you just fine. After all, that same roof is supposed support 2 tons if the VX rolls over. But I'd still probably not do it. I think I'd rather be eaten by a bear than cave in my VX.

x2, I totally agree. However, my question is: What single VX owner here weighs a mere 120 lbs and what VX couple (2-person) weighs a mere 240 lbs "combined" weight???:luck:

I think it would be fine, none of the vehicles have weight limits on their roofs into the hundreds of pounds. I think the crossbars are rated for dynamic weight, taking into consideration momentum, braking and whatnot. Plus, I would say the crossrails posted rating is probably half of what it really is for safety ratings, the company my father owns builds trailer couplers, and they always rate them at half or less of the actual fail point to prevent lawsuits and liability.
