When I am not cruising around in my VX, I ride my '01 Yamaha R6 around town. I just saw my first pocket bike at a local cycle shop, and I am thinking about getting one. Basically, it's just a really small motorcycle--they are not street-legal!!! Does anyone have any experience with them? I would like to get a Polini Midi S.P.L.C. 6.2 hp water-cooled, 6" tires, F&R brake. The only good site I found so far is http://pocketbike.com/index.html. Thought I'd ask...

Nothing personal, but that's about the dumbest thing I've ever seen ;Dy;

Maybe if it weren't $1000-5000 I'd not roll my eyes so much at this... but you can get an older crotch rocket for $5000... Not this toy that you look like a dip***** riding.

To me it looks like something that should be an event on Most Exteme Elimination Challenge ;Db; ;Db; ;Db;

They actually have leagues and race those things. They've been around a long time too, as they were used for pit bikes when I raced GP back in the 80's. We called 'em "butt plugs" for obvious reasons. If you find a league nearby go watch a race, it's funnier than lawn-mower racing!

They have these, along with video of races, at the international bike show every year. Pretty funny to watch, and even funnier to try and ride. Definitely can't hurt the bike!!! You on the other hand is a different story!! ;eekb;

Okay, found a link to the sanctioning body for these little terrors HERE. (http://www.pbrn.com/)

You should be able to get linked to all sorts of vendors and such plus get some more info. We always see a few of these around Main Street during Bike Week and Biketoberfest in Daytona and it always gets a laugh. Sorta like drunken biker shriners!
