clunking sound??

hey all,
i have noticed a clunking sound in my vx when slowing down for a red light/stop sign..just before it comes to a complete stop..
any ideas?

many VX owners have had this and discussed it.. usual suspects are the transfer case and the drive shaft... start by greasing the three zerk fittings on the drive shaft, that should help, also check your transfer case and transmission fluid levels.
