Screen don't work

Newbie to VX... picked it up today... 87/175 ltd and it's vgc.... BUT... It would be nice to have the screen working... It has power.. the radio works ... radio 2 only... Guess i need expander??.. Ther eis a sat nav system in the boot/trunk with no CD in it.. but i dont get anything on screen and would like rear view even when not reversing... any ideas??

Can you cycle through any screens on the monitor?? i.e the radio etc or is there literally nothing?

Another way to check if the camera is working (bit of a pain)

1. See if there is a servo noise when you put it in reverse, the flap on the boot should open up for the camera to pop out.

2. Then, open up the cover for the jack storage. There is a small box of tricks in there with a male RCA out. Plug a yellow rca into it, then into a portable TC etc. When you put the car into reverse you should get a picture come up from the camera.

3. if nothing works put it ALL in the bin and just buy a ripspeed head unit with a screen. It all wires in and works fine. Most people have ditched the standard Sat Nav equipment. It doesnt/ and never will work in the UK.

+1 - SO wish some of those 175 colors were available in the USDM. Those blue colors are amazing. :(

Naw, Sprey's was Blazed Peacock Mica...a bit more teal blue.

Et voila.......... So my camera is still working when in reverse...

Did you power yours all the time ... if so do you know the easiest live hook up
