Nice find CR, I wonder what shipping would be to the States? Btw, is this the 695 or 696? I couldn't find the thread where we identified which Audi part # corresponds to which Thule #.

FYI, that is a Thule 696. Was rebadged by Audi and Hyundai for use on some of their SUV's as a factory accessory. I have one of the Hyundai ones. They are going so cheap because the dealers are selling out old stock that is taking up space.
Nice find James, & pre assembled is a plus...:_wrench:..

Arrived today and looks ab fab but have no way of holdin it on other than arm our the window... Halfords want £60 (down from £70) just for a pair of the required "aero" bars then what feet (another 50 squid) will fit our rails, who knows... back to the drawing board/ebay

Looks like Bantan is selling his OEM cross members (aka roof rack).

They're actually not hard to ship, so maybe you can talk bantan into shipping them. I've shipped them to Australia and Russia without any problems. They weigh 19 lbs for your reference in calculating shipping.

I think you might be talking about "Zeus"s custom Thule rack. Check out his gallery.
And here's some close ups of the towers:

Here's the metal brackets (on the right) that attach it to the roof rails.

Mnaged to get a set of NEW Thule 757 feet of the bay of e for £31.50.. and I am pretty damn sure they fit our rails without modification or additional fitting kit (will post back if this proves to be true OR hide head in shame).
All I need now is some Thule Aero bars..... they go for silly money on ebay so will probably just go to Halfords and pay the £60 as everything else about it is NEW and the total is still very very reasonable for a rack you could get a sofa on....

do those feet fit the square bars ?
voyeur

Kinda..... probably not as sound as your gutter clamps... but as I got them half price I am happy with the fit....
I am relying on the rubber being squeezed under the lip on our rails... I can rock the VX with the bars so i guess they will hold...
I did notice someone else on here using the same in a members photo so I'm not alone...

stoopid me ... yes they do fit both Thule aero and square bars... in fact they came with end caps for square bars in the box if you loose any..

hmmm, not too keen on the rubber holding it on, i use mine for heavy items from builders merchants etc, so i'll have to live with the height for now :D
