Removing a cladding dent....

Not having the best of mornings today, i can get the VX around a forest between hundreds of trees on slippery banks however today i managed to nudge a single lamp post on a long stretch of empty pavement (sidewalk to you lot) :(

I recon some boiling water ought to enable me to pop it back out? I can get to the back of it in the wheel well.

ps, anyone got a spare indicator lense ?

Heat gun. ONLY apply heat from the INSIDE. I did it on my rear bumper cladding a while back and it was not much of an issue, but takes a bit longer to get it just right since this material is thicker than your average bumper cover.

Yours might take some extra attention since it is right on the lens crease. Look for breaks/tears in that crease line on the inside. A heat gun and some resin should be able to treat it so it doesn't worsen anyways.

Just gotta keep it all in perspective. After all, I'm the one who threw a 2x4 into the trailer - missed & took out the VX tail light. Now THAT's embarrasing.

When you repaired your dent, did it leave a lighter discoloration where it was bent the most?

Stay off the side walks! It's bad enough you all drive on the wrong side of the road as it is, not only are us normal-side-of-the-road drivers in danger, now sidewalk pedestrians have to worry as well!
