I am new to Isuzu, can anyone give a step by step on how to check, add and /or change transmission fluid in the Vehicross. Sorry if this appears somewhere already...I am new at forums too.
I just bought my VX and wanted to start fresh with new fluids. I read the discussion about to flush or not to flush which was great info. Help!

Thanks

Download the Service manual from HERE (http://www.vehicross.info/misc/vx_manuals/IV00_01.pdf) , (located under download section (http://www.vehicross.info/modules.php?name=Downloads&file=viewarticle&id=20)) and check from page 1311 ....
You will need the adobe acrobat reader , to open the file , if you dont have already on your computer you can dowload from HERE (http://get.adobe.com/uk/reader/)

Welcome, mhill! It looks like your VX used to belong to a member here from Reno, NV.

He's got a few pictures here, but not many posts.

Hey, this procedure doesn't include taking down the main tranny pan and swaping the filter does it? Wondering if I have drop that cross member; I can't remember and my notes from when I last did this don't say, grrr!

Yes you do, the rear pan bolts are hidden by it and besides, you can't get the pan off with the crossmember on. And don't forget to support the transmission and transfer case with a jack before you drop the crossmember!
