No Spark

OK i just got my new motor in hooked everything up and it cranks over but wont fire... pulled a plug and coil and im getting no spark it seems. im thinking a bad ground but before i go chasing things around i figure i better ask here

if it is a ground what wire is directly related to the ignition and where is it

plus my heater just ran out of fuel and its down to about 25 degrees in the garage

Out of the workshop manual starting on page 736, A notch in the timing disc on the crankshaft activates the crank position sensor which then sends information such as firing order and starting timing of each ignition coil to

well i had a buddy with a scanner come test it and no error codes came up but it may actually need to be running to trip the codes

A couple of places to start.

In the manual, it looks like two common ground points for the ignition coils are to bolts in the intake manifold. Look at the intake manifold bolts towards the rear of the engine (standing in front of vehicle) between the fourth and fifth runner tubes.

One the passenger side, there should be a BLK/BLU wire with other wires connected to the same bolt. One the drivers side there should be a BLK/RED wire with other similar wires connected to that same bolt.

Another common ground in that circuit is at connector H-5. That connector is located on the drivers' side of the engine compartment at the rear of the brake fluid reservoir (looks to be about even with the middle of the reservoir).

Making sure the connections at those two points at tight/clean might be a good place to start anyway.

A few other quick check items.

Fuses:

15A - Ignition Coil fuse (IG Coil)
15A - Engine fuse
??A - PCM fuse (Saw two ratings for that one. 30A and 40A so not sure)

ok all my fuses are good i just got my new crank sensor since it was all gunked up from the old motor and my bottom end had let go im sure its that sensor but whats the best plan of attack or route for getting in there to replace it... im gonna enlist the help of a friend with small hands
