I'm posting this as a warning to all. I am one who is under VX frequently messing with maintenance. I wiggled the mode selector and -with great ease it happily popped out of park. Rather than be a human tire chock I moved with great speed out from under the vehicle as it began to roll backward! Onto my feet I chased it a few steps hopped in and braked. Sorry to say I'm one who never uses the parking brake and only chock wheels when I know I should. Knowing now how easily that transmission popped out -i mean a squirrel could do it- I may just be safer from now on!!! :o

Yeah, honeslty, you should always chock your wheels when you are working under any vehicle, unless its on a lift or jack stands of course. The mode selector is connected to the shift lever, and yes, you can move that piece from under there!!!

The grade in my driveway is very gentle. Had it been a significant grade at all I would not be typing right now.
