I don't have my heart set on Redstone either. I just booked there because it seemed to be the one everyone was interested in. I can do the room-mate thing too except for one thing - have to be in a non-smoking room or else I kind of stop breathing (just an important little side note!;eekr; ) LOL

Ok, here's the results on the Ramada Inn in Moab.
I called there today and got some rates for all to see. At this point in time they said that the only day they have a problem with is the 13th. They were booked solid for some reason on a Tuesday????
Rates are as follows...
2 queen, or 2 double beds; $59.00 per night, $95.00 on Friday and Saturday.
All these rooms have a refrig., air conditioning, coffee pot, and hair dryers. Pool and jucuzzi included (still checking on the cabana boy)
OR......
2 queen, or 2 double beds; $54.00 per night, $90.00 on Friday and Saturday.
These rooms have NO extras.... convience store down the street for ice water, you do get air conditioning, we'll let you sniff our fresh coffee, and we promise not to mention your bad hair day.
You can still use the pool and jacuzzi... still checking on the cabana boy.
They have AAA discounts. With an AAA card deduct 10% off of all the above rates.
The lady told me today that they give discount rates to groups that book at least 11 rooms.
The rates have changed since I booked our two rooms. She said they are booking rooms fast because May is prime season. The rates are subject to change, and will change closer to the actual date.
Their website is:
http://www.quintstar.com/ramada/
The website has their toll free number to book.

I'll book wherever we all wind up. I'm with Anita - a few luxuries are nice especially since the rates just aren't that much more for the 'roughing it' option. Just let me know what you need from me or for me to do for you to get this in place. ;Do;

I just went online and booked my room at http://www.quintstar.com/ramada/
I got a confirmation that I'm booked from May12th-18th! Quoted rate online was $47.20 a night, but the rate does change during my stay (must be Friday & Saturday nights) but doesn't say what those nights rates are?
Scott, did you fill out the group rate inquiry form? If I need to cancel and re-book as a group, I will. Or maybe we can just all tell them who we are and that we're all together? Either way, I can't wait for ZuZoo VI;Dy;

I need an accurate count on how many are going to stay at the Ramada. The sooner you answer the better.
I'm asking a quote on a block of 10 rooms and asking if I can add more if needed and if rooms that were already booked can be included or if they need to be re-booked.
I'm asking for a nightly room rate range of $35.00-$40.00.
I'll fill in details as they come.
Please vote in the poll at the top of this page ASAP
One more person and he can get the block. :)

Lisa and I both voted in the Ramada poll and we are sharing a room so it should be 8 instead of 9 count right now. Sorry!

No problem, it's fixed.
Has anyone considered posting a link to this on the wire? We might be able to get the last rooms filled that way. I'd do it, but they don't know me there. :)

You did the math... the data don't compute.
I've got 2 rooms reserved at the Ramada. We are bringing some friends to to the zoo with us, and have reserved 2 rooms.
Scott added one more room for us.

Less than 100 days till the Moab VX only run. Registration should be up and running this month on http://www.zuzoo.org/index.shtml
Is anyone else counting the days down to Moab too? Am I the only one that looks forward to this like it was my birthday? This can't be..... I'm a girl!
You are definately not the only one looking forward to it. I've been excited about it since before Christmas. :)

Tim, is your Bro gonna make to Moab with his own VX this time?

He has his own VX now and he was planning on coming. He lost his job in Jan (he's found another one now), but I'm not sure if he'll have the funds (a month with no money really messes with the finances) or be able to get the vacation now.

Yuck... Sorry to hear that. I know what that feels like. Last year, the company I was working for had us work for a month without pay before they laid everyone off and declared bankruptcy. Very frustrating. Hope it all works out for him!

Ok, with only 10 weeks left I'm starting to get anxious. Hotel room is booked at the Ramada. I can't wait to see all the great people that we met last year, and the new ones coming this year. Each day knocked off the count makes me more anxious.
IS IT MAY YET?????????:sighp2:

Registration should be really soon. They have had a couple of delays, but please remember this is all volunteer. One of the main guys (Keith) who is very involved with ZuZoo planning , just had to deal with his father unexpectantly passing away in another state. With that said you can understand the reason for the delay. We should be getting info very soon, so keep checking the Zuzoo.org website. When registration is posted so are the trail runs.

Thanks for the info. I'll keep checking the web site.
Wow we did it. We have enough for the group rate.

So are we supposed to call Ramada with our existing confirmation numbers to have them correct the rate? Do we just tell them we are part of the VX ZuZoo group?

Talked with my brother yesterday. He is definately not coming. He thought he might be able to afford it, but he doesn't get any vacation time until he's worked with the company for 6 months (or something like that). So he won't have any vacation until August or so.
I know I've already replied to this once, but the answer has changed from a maybe to a no :(

Ok here's the deal.. I need to know how many already have rooms booked at the Ramada. I put in for the quote on Jan 15th and the are saying with the time lapse, there may not be enough rooms. unless the number pretty much matches the ones already reserved. EMAIL ME if you already have reservations so I can get a count.. Please do so ASAP!

I'm staying in Grand Junction Colorado (where I'm from) and driving to Moab for the festivities. It pays to have family in good places. Kill two birds with one stone- see family and have a place to stay!!!
Good luck with finding a place in Moab. If work won't let me go, have fun and be safe.

Update on the Ramada.....
Being that there was such a time lapse from the first inquiry regarding a group rate, it won't be possible to put one together. We needed 10 rooms and after waiting 2 months to get that many people intersted, they don't have enough to accomodate us. Even with the 5 rooms that were already booked, there still is not enough.. The only thing that they suggest is for the individuals that are roomless to keep trying some rooms may become available due to other's cancellations.
Sorry! Next year we need to get more answers quicker if we can. The biggest problem is, they want a 20% deposit and the whole thing paid for 1 month in advance for group rates, So.... It behooves us to plan well in advance.

Went online and booked a room at the Ramada with no problems.
I suggest anyone without reservations to try booking now.

Same here.
Ok, here's the deal. I have a friend that wants to go to Moab with me. I already have a roomate for this year, and I'm unwilling to change roomates. Does anyone out there need a roomate?
Oh yeah. My friend is male.
