Towing Instructions Please!!!

I'm a newbee with my first question...and yes I did research the existing posts first....

In a couple of weeks, i'm going on a fishing trip (musky) and i'll be towing a 16' fishing boat (fiberglass)... the trip is six hours and the terrain is relatively flat.

Can any of you experts provide me with some tips, as this will be the first time towing with my 2001.... What gear should I have the truck in, etc....

Keep it in drive "3" unless you'll be on a long flat grade@ 65 mph or over. For those periods you can probably go into overdrive "4".
If you've searched the posts you should already know to be cautious with low speed maneuvering. Use caution during high winds. Keep an eye on the gas gauge. Be aware of how to handle a flat tire, particular to the VX.

Bring big lures for big fish.
