Anyways, you should call before you go to class, because of the Hurricane headed this way.

I'll be very interested in seeing it once you have put it in. Be sure to post pics. Did you have a link to this place? I would love this if it works nicely once you put it in the dash. I just don't know if i can do without my trim for a month!!! I wonder how much it would be to buy stock trim from the dealer? St. Charles maybe. Oh, well... Congrats on the sweet dash! I am looking to possibly do a center console like the one that is in the VX O2. I think i could do it with vacuum forming. I think thats alot of what takes away from the modern look IN the VX.

Here's the place: http://www.exoticwooddash.com/coating.htm
Here's the history: http://www.vehicross.info/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=949

The carbon does look pretty good. I wonder how much of an improvement the brushed aluminum coating would give over the stock faux metal on the dash.

Or if they could do the carbon fibre treatment on the cladding without making it super delicate.

I'm seriously considering doing this. Be sure to post pics after the install!

the coating made the dash at least twice as stiff, but as for the cladding, it would cost a fortunemy guess 3k and i want a sc b4 that.

but cant do without their dash trim for a month... I called St. Charles and they gave me a WS price for the dash trim of $109.31. i also checked on the center console as may may be making a custom one, and i want to have a factory one to go back to later if a need to.

just thought the info may be helpful...

Did you get the trim re-installed yet? I can't wait to see it!

You can get an idea of how the dash looks by taking a peek at some Japanese owners who have done the same thing or similar:

Judging by the photos, Amack76's dash is going to look a lot better than those Japanese pictures.

It looks a lot more similar to our door pattern, which is really important to make the effect work. I could be wrong, though, because pictures can be mis-leading.

yuk! - I sure hope his looks better than the Japanese ones in the post!!!!!! From his pictures, his pattern looks MUCH closer to the door panels, which should look much better - can't wait to see, as I've been trying to decide what to do with my dash. I don't like it as is, but I'm afraid the all carbon fiber look will be to busy- the jury is still out!!

oh werd, i think i know a few cats that go there. i got some heads up in JC. i'll try to make it, what time and where. not really sure tho 'cause i gotta head up to queenz for some business.

about the tranny thing...im not really sure, i had it done a while ago when mine was leaking like crazy and they fixed the lug that was half broken...if your tranny is slipping when you accelerating, usualy at the beginning that means you running low and i think only isuzu can do it for you...somethign like bmw and it's dealerships...tryin to get da monEeey! get it checked quick if you think it's low on fluid! good luck

Amack76,

I had the same problem with the broken links. I found out that it was because I moved the photos to the mods section. To fix it, all I did was, edited my post and relinked the pics.
