Does anyone know size or even possibly the part number for the grommet for the pvc valve. Just realized the thing was split and peeing abit of oil. Thanks

It'll happen to everyone eventually. They have this brand at Pep Boys.
I used #42340 and it fits perfect. Others have also used #42330.

Here's the Isuzu OEM PCV grommet:
PART # 8-97074653-0
Looks like #42330 is more similar in shape to the OEM, but glad to know both work.

After the amount of fumes today I might be watching the paint dry and not even knowing it.

I just dug up this old thread because over the weekend, I ended up getting the #42330 from Advanced Auto (HELP! brand). It fit perfect. It's listed for Ford 1997-88. I thought I done goodly by finding it ... shulda known deermagnet beat me to it though.
BTW, I also picked up a new PCV. I noticed that it did not rattle when shooken (yes, shooken is a viable word in these here parts). The guy at the counter said that they have a spring in them now so they don't rattle when good. The OEM PCV cleaned up nicely (& rattled) so I'll probably switch back to it at next oil change.

This is good stuff! The grommet is bad on my race truck and was wondering what to use for the fix. And I agree, shooken is a valid mechanical technical term.:goof:

Yah, it's surprising how bad those grommets can get. The lower half had pretty much desintergrated on the Ebony.
#42330 fits pretty tight around the PCV so you may want to put a little oil on it before trying to press it in.

So this is the part that the PCV valve goes into?
is it possible this part might be bad without me knowing it?
I like easy cheap fixes like this.

Nah. It's either there or it isn't. Some have had it split in 2 during removal of the PCV. I just noticed that the lower half of mine was gone when I pulled out the PCV & the grommet came with it. If you're getting some oil residue around the PCV, then you may want to replace it.
Note: Check the grommet before you go to buy a new PCV since the new one will NOT come with it. You don't want to have to make 2 trips to the parts store.
