View Full Version : Where to locate the VSS on a 2000 VX

I am installing a stereo with a Nav System and I need to tie into the Vehicle Speed Sensor wire which I believe in behind the vehicle cluster. I check the electricle troubleshooting document in the download section but unless I am mistaken it didnt have a diagram of the back side of the cluster. In tied into a pink wire because the instruction says that it will most likely be pink :confused:

This is from my '99 shop manual. A '00 is probably the same. It looks like you want the lightgreen/white wire that comes from the VSS. You should be able to find it at the H-13 connector above your left foot or at the B-5 connector on the back of the meter cluster or at the D7 pin on the white, 32-pin connector on the back of the PCM.

What kind of head unit are you installing?
