Jason Pearce was back in the black VX he won with last year (http://www.vehicross.info/forums/showthread.php?t=17766). He finished second this year to a Mitsu Pajero. OUCH!!!

The race was run in Condobolin, New South Wales, Australia on 4/22-4/24/11.

There was a second VX entered this year which did very well coming in fourth. The yellow makes it look like the retired Tubus Racing VX that used to be driven by Pelle Wallentheim. It was for sale last year for $58,000 AU. That VX had the same small bar on the front as this one, so maybe they bought it.

Oh, well. Second and fourth is not too bad. I hope our buddy Jason can get back on top next year. :yesy:

Holy shnikeys! What kind of mods are in a race VX for 58k AU?

Here's your answer-

Skip ahead to 5:10 for the VX. It may be the same one. I think I see the hood scoop and maybe a part of the high rear brake light on the #87.

I think it is the same one-

I "think" that they help deflect small branches away from the windshield sort of like the cables they run from the roof to fender on the Rover's set up for expeditions.I could be wrong though.

That's what I figured as well.

Yes definitely. The windshield is probably plexiglass to save weight as well right?
