So now that I've got my cladding nice and dark (thanks to 2 coats of showroom new) and my hood insert painted flat black, I want to do something with my faded mirrors, roof rails, and rack. I was thinking some type of bedliner would look good, but wondering if anyone has done this before? I also was thinking of coating my fangs with it then painting the middles (where its silver) orange to match the paint. Thoughts? advice? I've also thought about doing the hood insert with the liner but not sure yet.

There are better pix in my gallery if ya wanna search for them.
I just found Monstaliner recently and am leaning toward it's use: http://www.monstaliner.com/ Kinda pricey for a diy but I think it's worth it. Specify that you are using it on plastic for instructions and tips. Here is a lengthy disussion thread: http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f43/introducing-monstaliner-uv-permanent-diy-roll-bed-liner-875162/

Good find.
It pleases me to see that Monstaliner doesn't require that you encapsulate the plastic, unlike every other liner that I've seen.

HMMMMM....100% UV protected and colorfast for 5 years. How do you think the Monstaliner would look on the cladding?

I've had GREAT luck with Rustoleum Textured black paint. I've used it in many applications including exterior VX, high-heat engine/exhaust, trim, etc. I use it when I want the look of powder coating without the cost. It's very durable and has yet to fade after being in the sun (1.5 yrs now).

I ended up using this stuff on the mirrors, roof rails, spoiler, and crescent on the back door. Not intended for plastic but I experimented with it and it seemed to hold when the surfaced was prepped and scuffed and it was put on in thin coats. Looks great and really easy to work with. Time will tell how it holds up. I'll try to get some pictures up tomorrow.

$12 a can from Autozone. I used about 1 1/2 cans.
