transfer case removal... not working for me...

Ok, I have got all 6 bolts off the transfer case and trying to separate the transfer and the transmission. i have front and rear drive shafts off and exhaust off, no separation it is like it is glued but i do not want to break one or the other.... :mady:

I'm no expert on this (AT ALL), but I'm sure that the transmission and transfer case have "fused" themselves together over the past ten or eleven years. I would think a couple of whacks with a rubber mallet, or dead blow hammer, would persuade them to separate.
