Gotta say, racer boy seats aren't the best for long dist touring. Though I am having a lot less back pain vs the Recaros, they are a bit on the firm & narrow side for my fat old posterior...:mbrasd:

Sorry we won't be able to stop anywhere for meet & greets, schedule won't allow.

Y'all stay safe & well & outta trubble...:yesgray:

I might not actually be that far out of the way on your ride home... are you planning on going back SC-NC-TN-KY-OH or SC-NC-VA-WV-OH? The latter is only about an hour longer and would take you right near me (and phines btw).

I'd take a drive and meet you somewhere along your route for a bite to eat. You and the VX got to stop for refueling sometime. :)

Sorry I wasn't able to pull off any meet & greets along the way but...that's how I roll.
Twelve plus hrs a day, minimal stopping time for gas & p breaks, some meals taken in cab...:driver:

We had a great roll, very much enjoyed meeting Hunny Girlz Son & his fam...

Got to do some fun stuph while we were there...

Went out a couple different evenings...shine'n gators...

That one was about 7 ft, & as it turns out, don't much care for getting bopped on the noggin with pebbles...who knew?...:_confused
It was pretty cool, when we got there, he was about 100 yds away. As soon as I spit in the water, he started heading our direction. (we were on a pier)

Unless my memory is failing me in a most heinous way, S C is without a doubt, one of the HOTTEST, SWEATIEST, places I've ever been...http://ts2.mm.bing.net/images/thumbnail.aspx?q=984159171793&id=31727b37f2277c67206caaa1e847e39e&url=http%3a%2f%2fi55.photobucket.com%2falbums%2fg1 22%2flinaathinavega%2fsmiley-sweaty.gif

Best mileage was almost 14...:(

Figured out my "magic number" with regard to speedo/odo error by keeping track of 20 mile markers, then diong some fancy cipherin' to figure out my margin of error is 16.5%...suffice to say, I've been driving a little too fast for a while now. Never take the % numbers from a tire calc website as gospel...:yesgray:

NO, not the chick...when's the last time you saw the top side of a pelican in flight?

Taken from the observation deck of light house (http://traveltips.usatoday.com/lighthouses-near-beaufort-south-carolina-38349.html) @ Hunting Island SC.

This guy was the man in charge of the installation...AND the birdmaster of the park. He was a bit gruff at first meeting, but soon was proven to be one of the nicest fellows you'd ever wanna meet.

I know you roll bigger rubber than me...but I've been disappointed with 16 mpg....now after hearing your story...I feel a little better...lol.

I used to get 19mpg alot years ago (no lift w/SC) and going to Vermont (no lift w/SC & Bridgestone Duelers mounted on my 16" wheels in 90+ degree temps) I got 23mpg onwards & 22mpg return. Going to Las Vegas through the Mojave Desert after Moab I got like 20+mpg (no lift...Duelers w/SC).

Last winter I was averaging 14mpg w/ lift & 32" MT tires. This summer I changed out the intake gaskets and replaced some vaccuum hoses and she's running great and am getting 16 mpg alot. Was hoping for 17-19. Took a roadtrip to Cleveland Ohio to look at a BMW K1600 Touring bike and was easy on the gas and got 16mpg. Oh well...at least my motorcycle gets 40mpg but it likes to eat rear tires @ $280 a pop...lol. My 'Stang seems to get 24-27mpg
alot. Stay safe bro.

Been thinking the same thing...the mickey mouse lighting isn't good either.

But I been think'n a little bit, once in a while...:_thinking

Been think'n bout wrapping all the foo-fraw up there in a saran type cocoon, starting at the front cross member, then stretch/cover that with some cheap polar fleece from w-mt...a couple coats of fibrglaz resin, some sanding/filling/sanding & a coat of heat reflective silver paint...voila! gots some areyo-dynamkz back...

Yeah, it's true enough...I'll probably never bring this idea to fruition...:(

but it's fun to dreem...:yesgray:

almost forgot to add, it'd be a removable shell when complete.

But it's readily apparent to some, they do exist...:yesgray:
