...for about 5 miles!

Unfortunately the gas station was 5 1/2 miles away.
Yea, I was "that guy" :(

So you could push it and call it unconventional "leg strength training" for your next event, right?

I was on my way home from morning track workout so I was in my running stuff. I was 1/2 mile from home also. Locked up the VX and took an easy jog home, went for a nice bike ride and then waited for the wife to get home from work with the truck. Went and hooked up the tow strap and tug it to the gas station. Put in some fuel and it fired right up without missing a beat!
The problem is that I know I ALWAYS get over 300 miles on a tank. I was only at 275 on this tank. I usually fill up before I go to a race that is out of town. I racee out of town a few weeks ago but forgot I didn't completely top off the tank...oops!

I made it to 343 miles today (a new high!), when the low fuel light came on for the second time since I've owned it. I don't know how much farther I could have gone but since I live 20 miles from the nearest gas station, and would have to go 40 to get home, and back, I figured smarter not to chance it.

With unmodified versions, my wife and I go routinely 375 miles on 20 gallons of regular.

Well, good thing it wasn't hot today! :winkgray:
Glad no one messed with the VX in your absence.

What about the remaining 2.5 gallons capacity? How would you reliably know you'd hit 20 gallons?

Made it to 365 miles on a tank last week. All interstate almost crapped my shorts. Fuel light hadn't even come on yet but chickened out and went for the fill up.

My latest and best in a long time.... about 240. And that was pushing it. ;)

Really...ouch. I consistently get 300+ even with my heavy steel wheel/off road tire combo.

Doesn't the SuperCharger have much to do with that?

I get about 250 per tank highway with my 3in lift and pro comp wheels wrapped in 33's. Long trips = Frequent stops.http://hphotos-sjc1.fbcdn.net/225905_10150252049423885_682358884_8959906_3844393 _n.jpg

Sue teeheeeheee, when you fill the tank it tells you how much you put in it.....lol ;) ;):p

I'm dead consistant at 16mpg. I don't bother worrying about a fill up until my trip meter is at 320.

That right there is funny, I don't care who you are. :bgwb:

I have consistently gotten worse mpg since the wheels and tires (my wheels are HEAVY.... 27lbs IIRC). S/C didn't seem to change that for the better or worse. It also gets gassed up about once a month and driven mostly on Sundays. Who knows how much gas the garage gremlins siphon out of it. ;)

Pretty sad when my tuned (roughly 345hp now), turbocharged STi can get about 350 on a full 16gal tank (with about a gal or two to spare). 4 banger FTW!

thank you, thank you, I'll be here all week!
:goof:...I was trying to be funny (epic fail!) and point out that in order for it to be an apples to apples comparison, it has to be MPG, not range.

....I'll go back to my hole now....:laugho:
