O.K...... Replaced the bulbs in the fog lights yesterday. Now the dumb question... are they supposed to be on all the time when the headlights are on? Cos I can't find a switch anywhere!!:confused::confused:
Paul, mine is also a JDM vehicle, and the foglights (as poor as they are) come on with the park lights on mine.

Not a dumb question.
Going by location, you'd think they were fog lights.
Going by bulb type & lack of a lens, they are just marker lights.
Some members have just put higher Wattage bulbs in there while others have modified fog (or driving) lights to put in there.

matter of fact had a problem when tried to get my last inspection they said they had to turn off when my high beams were on, because they were foglights, told them they did not come that way and you inspected them last two years like that, just got pissed and went to another place and didn't have a problem.

Nope, they are officially-unofficially "driving lights" or "parking lights". Simple "visual" indicators. There has been talk around MD that ALL (historic/classic always exempt) cars will eventually need to have daytime running lights to pass inspection, and if this is the case, I am wiring those little worthless buggers up to just turn on with ignition.
You can always go a not to affordable route and actually put some PIAAs in there and make them functional.

What GIZMO and I put in there is certainly functional! Uber bright LEDs..but not really cheap.....
The affordable route is to put the 18W Malibu light bulbs in.

yep, boss man did a write up here on how to do it. I then added to it when I did a HID upgrade to Moncha Micro DE write-up. With the HID's, I can drive with just them on.

those are the ones that I wish I had got, they said they were 1800 lumems for the ones I was looking at. The ones I got only have 3 LEDs in it and they were 1600 lumems if you looked at the thread Idid earlier. That is a good price also with the connectors that come with it are about $6.
