Hey All,
it seems when i pull out from a stop that the transmission is starting in 2nd gear, takes a while to build up rpms and then shift..then runs fine thru the rest off the gears and down shifts when coming to a stop.
if i manually shift from 1st to 2nd to 3rd to drive or even from first then to drive once i get the rpms up every thing is fine.
this ever happen to anyone?
Check your winter mode button hasn't been bumped.
Other than that, possibly the mode selector switch playing up.
Hope it's something easy for you.

i have had my center console out for a few months now(making a custom center console)so the power/winter mode buttons have been unplugged for months.i even plugged it back in and toggled it on and off to see if it did anything....no dice
i only have first gear when i move the gear selector to L/1st

Search the site for transmission mode selector and find out how to locate and clean it. Hopefully that'll help.

I've had this happen twice....scared the tar outta me....then realized my "Winter Mode" button was engaged...which makes the truck start out in 2nd gear....and thus the slow start. You didn't mention if you'd ruled that in or out yet.

My VW TDI was doing the same thing. It was the transmission speed sensor. Got it changed and that fixed the problem. Don't know if the VX has a changeable speed sensor or not.

I'd like to know this as well. I'm having the same issue. Only at cold start though.

ok search 4l30-e shift solenoid on ebay motors look at the kit,has 4 solenoids.
after you get em.
take tranny pan and filter down.
you will see the valve body
follow the wiring harness to the 3 solenoids
at the front are to side by side a and b
do one at a time take the connector off be careful not to break the clip.
there will be a dowel pin to the left of each solenoid grab it with some pliers and pull it out then pry the solenoid out it will be kinda snug
put the new one in,push it in all the way if it is out too far you will never get the pin back in.
the other two are basically the same procedure
put the filter and pan back on fill it up with dextron lll and you are done
hope that helps
