Looking at a VX and drove it. It had a little odor of
anti-freeze inside the car, very slight but there. I am enough
of a car guy to know the smell. I do not know a lot about
the VX yet and do not own one (trying to) but is there a
symtom of this. I am thinking maybe a leaky heater hose,
one or two drops can to it. Any thoughts out there.

heater core failure?
My VX smells like strawberry, so the antifreeze smell that you describe is definitely not normal for these cars. =)

Have it checked before buying

A slight smell could be caused by a spill under the hood or some boli over. That will go away. There could be a leak either under the hood you should be able to smell that outside as well. If it's only inside check the heater to make sure it's not leaking.

Check the passenger floor for wetness. Lift the mat and feel if it is damp, if not, rub your hand on the floor and see if you can smell coolant on your hand. If it is wet, heater core for sure. I would look under the hood and under the engine on the ground for coolant leaks also. Check the overflow reservoir and see if there is coolant in it and note the color.
How many miles on the VX in question? What year? Any service records?

I would guess heater core.
That is the best screen name ever, BTW.

My son's VX smells like AXE cologne. Check the heater core as previous post stated. Neat vehicle. If you buy it keep this forum on your favorites!
