Yes. I was sick and tired of no home for my tools. I was stepping on wrenches, extensions, screwdrivers and sockets . Hardly could find anything and its already near full. Wish I could have bought the Kobalt 52 inch with a stereo. :grino:

...but they're the wrong color Sue, lol. :laughy: Unfortunately, you may be hard pressed to find purple boxes though...not even Snap-on boxes can be ordered in purple (though they can be orange or yellow, yay! ;Dy;) I like those pink boxes though; I wonder how smooth the drawers are...you'll have to let us know if santa brings you a set this year.
I too keep odd foodstuffs in my toolbox; you're not alone Ebenezer. Pop tarts seem a good choice...they keep well. :yesy:

Yeah, purple is hard to come by....and funny, I did check with Snap-On...BUT, these "pink box" people make theirs in a nice bright pink. I've already got a few things from this company, like the canvas bag and a few of the pliers, oh, and don't forget the tape measure that Dub was afraid of...:laugho:
And I got a way cool set of pink Snap-On screwdrivers (both large and some really fine micro ones) and they're rubberized so my hands love them!
Actually the reviews I've read are very positive regarding quality and specifically, that the draws are very smooth.
I just gotta getz me one of deez hot pink tool boxes!

Good to know. Perhaps a more cost effective alternative to Snap-on boxes...cause I sure can't afford one of those anytime soon, lol. I would like something that is more secure than my Craftsman though. When I lived in my house/now my rental, some a-hole got into my garage and stole about $1400 worth of tools out of that stupid box; it's ridiculously easy to break in to. Ever since, I refuse to buy any expensive tools until I get a better toolbox. Speaking of expensive tools, how much did that screwdriver set put you back? I had a few misc snap-on screwdrivers before the theft too, but they weren't part of a set...super comfortable though, I especially loved the ratcheting ones.
...all that said, I'm digging the pink color of those boxes too. ;Dy;

I kinda figgered that.
I've got some pliers that I inherited from my grandfather that may be 75 years old. My favorite ones & you can't find any comparable nowadays. The jaws stay parallel all the way from full open to closed.

Yeah, but are you the type who would actually lock the box after every use? I keep the garage locked. If I had a tool box with a decent lock on it, I'd never remember to lock it.
Right now, my toolbox is a plastic bus tub... One of these days I'll have a real one and will be able to FIND my tools again.

Bart Yes! I shopped for a few days. Lowes, tractor store, Advance auto, Sears but Home Depot beat them all pretty good. 399.00$. I had to put blinders on when I checked out some of the wider ones for over a grand. One had a pull out work surface, radio, with built in power strip. AND now I have to put sunglasses on when I look at these purple ones.....puppy purple. EEyuuuuu! :p

Husky actually makes decent stuff. I will probably end up buying a second one of these to fill with just air tools and welding tools. Tomorrow I am buying my compressor!! Getting that big ticket item behind me is the REAL beginning of my garage shop. The only other really expensive piece I will need then is a good MIG. Everything else should come pretty quickly and I will be fabbing in no time!! :D

But, alas, I had to settle for good ole' Harbor Freight....got this roller cart/chest last month, you know how they always have some killer sales and coupons on top of that, so it was uber good deal, and surprisingly good quality.....drawers are really smooth. But I've GOT TO figure out how to disable the locking mechanism so I don't have to raise the lid for the drawers to open. I'm thinking of taping down those pegs...or cutting them off :mado2: ..... but I'm still "planning" on getting that 3 drawer pink one!

Sue,
the only drawback to that "roller" box is it makes it real easy for theives to roll your tools right out of your possesion...of course your collection of small arms may persuade them otherwise!

Sorry to come along and encroach on your nickname, Sue/Kat...I don't mind being called "Meow" though. Really you can call me just about anything and I'll probably respond to it.
Those pink screwdrivers are super cute, and reasonably priced...considering they're snap-on. I may have to pick up a set sometime later (saving up for new tires at the moment). That green ratcheting screwdriver is exactly the one I have, color and all...luckily it was inside my house when the thieves got the rest of my tools. It's fabulous, and I too use it constantly. Though I also used to have a stubby ratcheting screwdriver just like it...I miss that one a lot. :sady:
Not a bad looking rolling cart/box, but opening the top to open drawers would really get old...I feel your pain there. I'm thinking pink boxes would be the perfect solution to that problem :yesy:
Didn't work, did it.
Well, we tried anyway...lol. Pretty sure there are only a handful of people who remember that my handle here was once "SunfireKat"; however, those who know me from Moab know "real life" me, and thus know me to be Kat. I feel sorry for y'all though, having to tolerate every obnoxious bit of me for that full week. Especially Mark, lol. ;Dy;
...but really, just call me Meow. It'll alleviate some confusion.

Actually I think most carts with a lid have this same locking mechanism...:_brickwal....now where's that metal cutting wheel for my Dremel?....those posts have to go! (BTW....is it going to screw anything up if I cut them off?) This chest was around $119 out the door...the comparable pink box one was almost $500 :freek:...even I have limits...well, sometimes...

Ah, a definite advantage to living on a dirt road, in the middle of nowhere, a dirt road that doesn't go anywhere/connect to anything really, and no street going past the house.....oh, and 4 dogs, 2 of which are really YAPPY ones that bark if a twig falls outside......just ask Dub about "Teddy", aka "Corndog killer".....my killer Pomeranian...all 8 lbs...:rollo:
Heck we had to put down a ton of gravel (well actually, several tons :laugho:) in the front area just so we didn't have a mud pit when it rains. We're surrounded by dirt and hills. Yup, we gave up suburbia!
Billy, how'd you know I put a Beretta sticker on my tool chest already?? :yeso: (Maybe I should put a picture of Corndog the killer on it too?)

I havent had a solid toolbox set since I worked in the paint/bodywork industry, so, thats like, 15 years now. I donated them and almost all of the tools in them to the shop that I last left (their new tech that was taking over was a good guy and right out of vocational school and REALLY needed them). I was out a couple weeks ago shopping for a set so I could actually put my tools in it and not in the organized cardboard boxes in my garage, heh. The interesting thing is, price on these things has REALLY come down. The sad part is, it's still damned pricey, heh. May have to splurge on myself this Xmas....

"MAC" toolboxes and the majority of Snap-On boxes are made by Stanley. "Matco" was the toolbox manufacturer for "MAC" originaly. MATCO still makes a damn fine box. I have a big MATCO bottom box....the large drawers hold 400lbs each. I can roll them out and stand in them (6'4'' 200lbs) with the tools in 'em...no problem. Might save a few thousand with a Kobalt or Sears box...but there's a reason. My four Snap-On floor boxes will hold a Peterbilt....It's their add photo

You aren't pushing these floor boxes very far.....they're 4ft tall and like 8ft long. They seriously dent linoleum flooring. I got a rolloff tow truck to move them to the new shop in St. Augustine. The one for the frame machine has to have a couple tons in it. The MATCO box is paint room stuff. Not a bunch of weight, and it still is likely over 1000lbs total. The rest are mechanic and body tools They hold some stuff
