Well I finally took the plunge and lifted my VX. Managed about a 3" lift using the OME 912 springs. I am VERY happy with the outcome. Looks 10x better, tires dont rub or scrape anymore, the ride is 10x smoother, and speedbumps and potholes dont feel like mountains and canyons anymore!:yesb::yesb::yesb::yesb: Photos were taken by my iphone, forgive the mediocre quality lol

You matched the tire size and lift perfectly, it looks great!

Looks good man. I remember how excited I was when I first lifted mine. Guess I've gotten used to it. Need to park next to a stock one again...

Thanks guys! It seemed like when I got my VX almost a year ago that once I got tires and a lift id be set and happy but surprisingly... im not satisfied at all! I now want even MORE. So many modifications but so little time and money ugh its depressing and exciting at the same time. I guess thats just a part of owning a VX! :yeso::yesb::yesgray::yesy:

I have vague recollections of such a thought...years ago...
Before it was too late...and "VX addiction" had it's way with me...& my poor deflated & still smokin' wallet...:rolleyesg
There is hope..:yesgray:
After you've done most every mod available to you in the realm of the aftermarket, and you start to fabricate your own mods, it DOES slow down...a little...:flower:
Keep the faith!

Does anyone have a fix to correct the speedo w/ different sized tires?
Looks GREAT too, btw!!

Yup, mentally add 10% to whatever the guage says.

Yup, looks great. I personally think there is a "sweet spot" with lifting the VX. That perfect amount of lift with the right tire size makes it look "right" and perfectly balanced. Well done.

Actually about 7%...
Or use an old GPS as a speedo :bwgy:

7% is right. Use a GPS to see what your actual speed is when your speedo reads 60mph. Then buy a ScanGuage II and program it for 7% and get it to match your GPS reading, then just look at the ScanGuage to know your actual speed. That's what I do. I still get tickets though.

Of course on the plus side, the odo is reading 7% low too.

My spedo is off by more than 10%, when I'm at 30mph on my spedo my gps says 35 and at 40, gps reads 46 and at 50 it's usually 56 or 57, it hovers around there.
Looks nicer! Not sure if you got 3" from 912's...sounds a little steep. Wanna know your mph look at your gps, most if not all have a mph guage, unless you dont have a gps.

According to the Discount Tire website tire calculator, your speedo differance should only be off by 3 MPH (meaning you're traveling 3 MPH faster than your speedo reading).

I used your OEM 245/70R16 versus new 265/75R16, which calculated the following:
Speedo reading 30 MPH = 32.48 Actual
Speedo reading 40 MPH = 42.91 Actual
Speedo reading 50 MPH = 53.64 Actual

Possibly my spedo was already slightly off before moving to bigger tires? because mine for sure reads over 45mph on my gps at 40 on the spedo.

How much lift and what size tire do you think is you're opinion of the sweet spot? Is it based on how you personally feel or how proportional it looks?

That is VERY much a 'personal preference' thang. I personally think that the VX was made for offset - but I seem to be in the slight minority on that issue (last comment is dripping with sarcasm).
