The 2012 R/R - EVOQUE (available in both 2-door & 4-door versions).

Was there any doubt it wouldn't win hands-down??? Of course not. I can't wait to see how the L/R - DEFENDER does when it makes its scheduled debut in 2015.

Nice vehicle. I would want something with a higher stock suspension. I got chuckle out of the video. They filmed it going down hill in snow and slush....Not uphill. I dare em. Film that baby in deeper snow yet and go uphill. Ha!!

Engines keep getting smaller while the horsepower figures keep getting bigger. 2.0 liter, 240 horse, straight 4 cylinder; technology keeps marching on!

Same specs as an s2000 from 2000....another jap car ahead of its time

They say it "will" be built for 2015, but we'll just have to wait and see if that's true.

Awesome! Thanks for sharing that, I had no idea! Man, I hope they do make it. I'm so weary of concepts because the manufacturers so often wimp out on all the cool designs they come up with! I hope they have the balls, guts, or whatever body part is required to make it happen! I still want a D90 someday, but they are so expensive here in the States since they stopped importing them!

Anyone who thinks land rover's are cool should work on one..... it will forever change their mind.......

Awesome! Thanks for sharing that, I had no idea! Man, I hope they do make it. I still want a D90 someday, but they are so expensive here in the States since they stopped importing them!

That Evoque is just awesome looking....in fact, it just keeps getting awesomer and awesomer (is that a word?) looking to me!

Hubby and I had a '97(last year imported) D90 for 5 yrs when we lived in Texas, had a blast with it. It was such a dog, and very utilitarian but it sure was fun. I know my hubby will be crazed for a new one.

Didn't LR get sold to a Chinese company sometime in the past year or so? So wonder what quality issues they'll have....not that they had great quality before....unfortunately.

LOL, Triathlete is poking fun at the Ford - EDGE. However, I still haven't seen a 2-door coupe model of the Ford - Edge yet. Doh!!!

The MDX looks more like an Edge amd there is a differance in looking similar and rebadging :D

The Ford is the British Mondial, but I think it's also some Freelander parts, as well. I saw the Evoque in person last month in Stockholm, it looked really smooth, just like the VX first looks conveyed. Is it a worthy successor...time will tell. They are forecasted to sell like Minis, in great numbers. But the whole idea is a crossover that doesn't look like a toaster, just like the VX.
