I am going to Gatorback my cladding as soon as the cans arrive, but when I went to order them, I had to select a vehicle (Avalanche, Escalade, or Hummer). Does anybody have experience with what vehicle's cladding others have used to restore their cladding? I can't imagine they are much different, but I'd like to order the right stuff the first time around. Thanks.

I don't have first hand experience but my guess would be they want to know the vehicle type so that they provide the proper amount of stuff. I'm guessing picking the Avalanche would be a good idea since it has a crap-load of plastic on it.

Have you already found some of the info about GB here? There's been a few that have done it, and posted detailed pics etc. There's also a bunch of info I researched and posted that I found on the Avalanche forum about GB and their experience. It makes a really nice uniform smooth surface, but is likely to chip off if abraded (like from offroad brush, etc...)
I know Mike Nomy bought 8 cans, but only needed 4 cans.....8 is for the Avalanche, which does have a butt load of plastic like Sam said!
Also, GB comes in 3 (or 4?) colors, that may be why they're asking for which GM vehicle.
mike nomy and PittVXr both did theirs fairly recently.
Here's Mike nomy's thread:

There's some input and comments about GB in some posts in this thread:

U will need 4 cans of Black, along with a can of their spray cleaner. Also get a quart of denatured alcohol in paint section of home depot. Tape off everything but also put plastic over the rest of the car or you will be compounding your regular paint like me. Paint the roof rack and mirrors too. Best $125 that we've spent so far!

I bought it in gallon cans.....we use plain prep-sol for the pre-clean, (after soap and water) We also remove the cladding and hang it in the paint booth to shoot it. Goes on like thick paint and is a PERMANENT solution....Toyota also used a bunch of this crappy plastic
You will be pleased with your results if you're careful:bwgy:

I contacted them a few years ago, (before they had the rattle cans) and they had just done a VX, looks great they said and the they used the dark grey for a OEM match
