Like the title says...what is yours?

Here is mine...
*frame cut at firewall, frontend tubed with provisions to attach all factory body parts (easily removable to prevent trail damage)
*front tied into full interior cage
*triangulated 4 link suspension front/rear
*coilovers (http://www.foxracingshox.com/product.php?m=offroad&t=shocks&p=3376&ref=filter) of course
*Spider9 (http://www.spidertrax.com/products/spider-9) axles front and rear
*complete drivetrain swap (something that parts can be gotten anywhere, stronger, more power)
*front and rear tube bumpers tied into frame/front tube work with winch
*Beadlock wheels rolling 37's
:bwgy: :smilewink :bgwo: :bgwb:

Well...MORE POWER (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ehp44tLQ734) is always a good thing...right?

And while we're at it...why not rebuild the entire frame, <->, with aluminium, or titanium...or even CF...:naughty:

GINOURMOS/quad piston + drilled discs, that just barely clear 18" centerlines.

And lest we forget...maglev...that works on sand stone...:smilewink

Full tube frame is an option!

:yesgray:

Why not we just go with a full on tube buggy, ala king of hammers...:smack:

Wearing copies of VX "skin" in CF......It'd be so whorish....& a little Frankenstein/Geinish (http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=1&ved=0CDoQFjAA&url=http%3A%2F%2Fen.wikipedia.org%2Fwiki%2FEd_Gein&ei=vP0QT9W4LozbggfSvO39Aw&usg=AFQjCNFBizKcEVb2_XU6YJHy5wcjn7S3mg&sig2=8lVLexWHILxlzSByFZF-Dg)/Dahmerish...:eekgray:

I mean...if we're goin' "all in" on a total creepshow VX...:naughty:

I have to say...

For me..as it is....OK..a bit of a lift....just a bit!

I enjoy learning how to drive against the same rigs...
...and, I get challenged..can I do better?

Yup...I get a kick outta being shown how it should be done...
...then I try.

Learning...that is my reason for MOAB...:p

It's been my school.

Thanks to all.

BUT..money be dammed.

IFS...at the nose..ya think!

38's...with the arches cut all round .
Lockers front and back...no brainer.

Rum, on tap....like ..of course!

Oh wait...did I hear a V8 option..OK!

The crazy Utah Dude...shotgun..
.....in his banana suit....fending off the rock..
...when we slide gently against the hard stuff!

I think that's all good.

For me the big things would be SAS & a transfer case with a better crawl ratio. I suppose I'll get serious about that project when the IFS starts wearing down again (rebuilt the IFS/axle shafts last year).

Money no object.... I'll take danatrac portal axles F&R, coilovers, convert the cladding to metal body armor, & get the dash/gauges completely updated... oh a maybe some snow tracs for winter exploration :)

I heart these axles :drool2:

Body: Targa Top, and removable hardtop around the rear seats ala the Amigo. Quick removable doors down to the cladding for instant 1/4 doors. Cowl induction hood.

Interior: Black leather with black CF accents to replace the Mars red. Ergonomic dash with built in double DIN touch unit, camera, power center, etc. Custom fit Smittybilt GEAR type Molle panels for bug-out pouches all over.

Other: Already said, but winch, built in tube. Blacked out rims. Large MT tires with sidebiters.

That's what Oakley uses in there sun glasses

Not very strong. You would have a very rubbery frame

I was just thinking that I would love to have CTIS (Central Tire Inflation System) on the Vehicross. Its what the original Hummers used to air up & down tires with a push of a button from the cab. Really cool :). You could probably get a VX CTIS system made $5k-10k.

Well yeh, that's true...but you would eliminate the necessity of fabbing suspension...

I have been throwing ideas around inside my head about putting a diesel in the VX if my motor even gives in, figured i would go with a N57D30T1. comes from the 2011- BMW X3 F25 X3 xDrive35d and 5 and 6 series.

306 hp 460 lb-ft would go bad with a 6 speed behind it

Me? depends on where i live i guess :naughty:

colorado- VX on snowtrac's, with 6" lift and dual 'coffins' (aka thule roof cargo carriers). and about 10 HID driving lights for blizzard driving

Arizona/nevada- full tube frame with exo cage, armor all around, lockers, SAS, V8, 37's

california- completely 'skate' look. raised one inch, rollin on 20's with mud grapplers, V8 with supercharger.

Should be fun taking it out 3 times a year (i.e. when it snows).

You sound like a crazy person ;)

Money no object eh....

Hmmm, ok, I would probably do something very similar to the Juke-R. But I wouldn't go "all out" like that. Something more responsible. Like, an ENTIRE drivetrain/electrical swap with an STi. Basically, an STi wearing a VX wig. Thinking a stage3 equivalent protune would give it all the hp/tq it needed. And funny enough, I know of a shop that would do it, were money not an issue. Place in Conn. Oh.... to dream....

cmon jon, no imagination?... trailer it to the mountains and pass up all the guys on their snow mobiles. throw your boards and your buddies boards in the 'caskets', as i call em', and cruise up the back road passes.

or...... it could be used for winter offroading :naughty:

Wood paneling on the sides, more cup holders, DVD screens on the backs of the seats, a vase on the dash for flowers, OnStar, a Hello Kitty antenna topper, and... oh wait, did you say VX or minivan?
