I like it.
It's in my mental file cabinet now so that if I ever have to replace my thermostat, I'm sure I'll make the conversion.
BTW, a lot of thermostats come with a small blow out plug. If you get one, you can just pull out the plug & the hole to ensure flow is already there. I did that on the Eclipse because I was told that they have a problem with trapping air behind the thermostat, keeping it from opening.

The one for the Eclipse left a 1/8 inch hole after removing the blow out plug.

Would there be any benefit to running the inline thermostat in addition to a functional engine thermostat?
Oh HELL no, that looks like a right smart solution to me...:_wrench:..:smack:..
Thinking outside the box is a good thing...:yesgray:
ESPECIALLY when the box is located under the friggn intake...:upsetgray

I can't think of what it would be, other than having a fail safe heater/defroster.
Might even reduce flow slightly...:_thinking

I was driving around yesterday while plugged into the scan tool and noticed that my temps were in the 158-159 range! I also think that it is too low! I am thinking of installing a new, 170 deg thermostat. Is that our factory spec?

I know they usually go when open, but what happens if the factory stat ****s the bed closed.

I wonder if someone installed 160 deg thermostat on my VX (since it was from the south)? The temps were too perfectly close to 160 for it to be a fluke.

I understand, but I think I might be up for the challenge ;).
