Billy,
Which shaft are you referring to? I'm assuming the Diff to TOD...?

My pesky drive shaft boot ripped a while back. Ill be clickity clacking myself if I don't fix it soon.
Good to know that the troopers use the same drive shaft.

Just make sure it is a TOD equiped Troop.
TOD equiped Troops have the 6 bolt flange we require. The non-TOD Troops have a
4 bolt flange.

Got it.
...If not TOD equipped would you get U joints?

Billy,
What caused the issue on yours?
Reason I ask... I just diff-dropped, and it immediately started click-clacking.
I'm trying to do process of elimination...

Check the boots, mine ripped after the diff drop but didn't/hasn't caused clicking yet.

are the boots replaceable, and cv repackable?
It just seems to me like if I do like Billy did, It'll just eat the next one too...

I'm not sure if the boots are replaceable, Billy probably knows...
I have a plan to use a stretchy mecatec CV boot to slide over the drive shaft CV and keep it greased & dirt free. I had this idea about 6 months ago but haven't tried it yet.

I have heard they are not rebuildable...don't know first hand though. Hopefully by the time I trash this one I will be ready for the solid axle.
