I just wanted to know how to use the power button.
Can I use it at the stop light on a dry street?;eekb;
Or is it only for snow and mud use?:right:
thanks again!

It raises the shift point rpm, so yes, you can use it for dry pavement

Many people leave the power button engaged all the time. For some, depending on their driving habits, it actually improves mpg.

I use the power button in traffic as it doesn't let the tranny shift too early, I can use the engine braking rather than the regular brakes. The Axiom also has a winter button, I tried it on a hill when I was offroading and it didn't want to go at all. I thought it was to reduce wheel slippage but it seemed to not start moving at all. I was on a 10-15% slope.

The winter button starts you off in 3rd gear, to reduce tire slippage durring icy starts.

Push the power button in, and then superglue it in place! ;)

I always put my transmission in "3" and drive with power button on when towing. Seems to like the more aggressive shift points when tugging some weight.

Not to get off the subject but I made a pass at the strip a couple weeks ago and ran 16.49 totally stock... I thought that was pretty good. I cant wait to save some money for some mods. I will probably get the pv muffler in a couple of weeks.. Hopefully the super charger for spring:D

Just press the power button one time and the VX will do the rest. No need to undo it, just set and forget :D
Winter is there to get you out of deep snow, but IMO the best remedy there is to avoid deep snow in the frist place. Anything deeper than the hubs is trouble for any vehicle. I never had to use Winter mode, and trust me i have seen some snow in my VX.

I've only used winter mode once...last winter...when we had an ice storm...used it when stopped at intersections...helped me get going again when sitting on a sheet of ice.
